Gin of the Month: Conker Gin

Gin of the Month: Conker Gin

Established since 2014, Conker Gin is one of a kind and based in our home county of Dorset.

Their refreshing take on a classic London Dry gin is well-balanced and Juniper-led, but with a difference. Conker Gin enjoys the bright and refreshing Dorset notes of elderberries, samphire and handpicked gorse flowers. What a beautiful mixture we’d say here at Just Gin(ish), Dorset’s number 1 mobile gin bar.

Distilled and bottled at Dorset’s first gin distillery, Conker Gin embodies the spirit of the county, blending British wheat spirit and New Forest Spring Water with botanicals from across the Dorset coast and New Forest. The fact Conker Gin is right on our doorstep is even better in our eyes as we love to support local businesses and keep the heartbeat of Dorset pounding on!

Plus, the journey of the founder of Conker Gin is incredible. Here’s a little snippet from Dorset’s finest gin producers.

‘It’s not every day a Chartered Quantity Surveyor throws in the towel to try his hand at making gin, but it was certainly worth the risk. Fast forward 6 years, and it was certainly worth the risk. But when Rupert ditched the job, sold his car and spent his days hunched over a teeny copper pot still in his kitchen, he could have been mistaken for a mad man. Thank goodness it all came good. It’s been a very silly, but wonderful, journey. ‘
